Cars, motorcycles, trucks, and working machines often carry years of labor, history, and meaning. I photograph them together with the people who have kept them moving.
More Than Transportation
Some machines stay with us.
Most vehicles begin as transportation.
Over time, some become something else. A truck that helped build a business. A motorcycle that crossed the country. The car a father restored with his son over countless weekends. Years of work, memories, setbacks, and quiet victories become part of the machine itself.
That is what interests me. Not horsepower or polished chrome, but the stories that have settled into the things we choose to keep.

The Session
We begin with the story.
Before I begin making photographs, I want to understand what the machine means to you, where it came from, and which details carry the most history.
We may work at your home, in the garage where it was restored, on a familiar road, or somewhere chosen for its light and surroundings. The location should feel connected to the subject, not borrowed from someone else’s idea of what an automotive photograph should be.
Sessions are unhurried. We make time for portraits, wider views, small details, and the moments that happen between poses.
Beyond the Automobile
The story does not have to have four wheels.
Cars are where much of my own interest begins, but the machine itself is never the only reason to make a photograph.
Motorcycles, tractors, airplanes, work trucks, tools, and industrial equipment can carry the same history. What matters is the connection between the subject and the person who has lived with it, worked on it, or kept it going.

We begin with a conversation about what matters to you, then shape the session around the machine, the people connected to it, and the photographs you hope to live with.

A few things you may be wondering.
Does my vehicle have to be finished or in perfect condition?
Not at all. Some of the most interesting vehicles still carry the marks of use, repair, and years of work. A freshly restored show car can tell a wonderful story, but so can an unfinished project, a weathered farm truck, or a daily driver kept going by hand.
My vehicle is not particularly valuable. Is it still worth photographing?
Absolutely. Monetary value has very little to do with it. Some of the most meaningful vehicles are daily drivers, unfinished projects, farm trucks, or family cars that have been cared for over many years. If it has become part of your story, that is reason enough to photograph it.
Can I be included in the photographs?
Yes. The people are just as important as the machines. We can make formal portraits, quieter photographs in the garage or workshop, or include family members and friends who share a connection to the vehicle.
Where do automotive sessions take place?
Wherever the story makes sense. That may be your garage, workshop, family farm, a familiar road, or another location chosen for its light and surroundings. I prefer places that feel connected to the subject rather than locations selected only because they look impressive.
What if I have more than one vehicle?
That is perfectly fine. Sometimes a collection tells a larger story than one vehicle can tell alone. We will talk about what matters most and decide how much time, space, and coverage the session needs.
Do you photograph motorcycles, tractors, airplanes, and other machines?
Yes. Cars are a particular interest of mine, but the connection is what matters. Motorcycles, airplanes, tractors, work trucks, tools, and industrial equipment can all carry years of history and personal meaning.
Do you travel outside Central Ohio?
Yes. I am based in Delaware, Ohio and work throughout Central Ohio. Sessions farther away can also be arranged. Travel requirements and any additional costs will be discussed before the session is booked.
