The next step

Reserve an Experience

Some photographs begin with a camera.
These begin with a conversation.

Choose the kind of experience that brings you here. Once your date is reserved, we will shape the details together.

Choose Your Experience

Two ways to step into the process.

A private experience offers the time and space to create something personal. Pop-ups offer a shorter, more casual introduction to wet plate photography at select events throughout Central Ohio.

Private Experience

Private Tintype Experience

Planned around you, your story, and a location we choose together. Each private experience includes one handcrafted tintype and a high-resolution archival scan.

Pop-Up Experience

Pop-Up Tintype Experience

Find Red Rabbit at select markets, breweries, fairs, festivals, and community events. Pop-ups offer the same handcrafted process in a shorter, more casual setting.

Private Tintype Experiences

Choose the plate that feels right.

Every private experience includes the time to create your portrait, one original tintype in the size you choose, and a high-resolution archival scan.

4×5 Tintype

$90

An intimate, hand-sized original with all the character of the wet plate process.

8×10 Tintype

$250

A substantial, highly detailed plate created for those who want the tintype itself to become an heirloom.

Additional original plates may be added during your experience. Reclaimed metal plates are available for select sizes and subjects.

What Happens Next

From reservation to finished plate.

Once your experience is reserved, we will shape the details together. The process is thoughtful, collaborative, and intentionally unhurried.

Reserve Your Date

Choose your preferred tintype size and select an available date. Your reservation begins the conversation.

Plan the Details

We will talk through the location, the people or objects you would like included, and the story you want the photograph to hold.

Create the Tintype

On the day of your experience, the mobile darkroom is prepared and your plate is coated, exposed, developed, and finished by hand.

Take It Home

You will receive the finished original plate along with a high-resolution archival scan for sharing and safekeeping.

No two plates are exactly alike. That is part of what makes the experience worth slowing down for.

Reserve Your Date

Begin with a time that works for you.

Choose an available date and the tintype size you would like to create. Once your reservation is received, I will follow up personally to begin planning the location and details of your experience.

Not Quite Ready to Reserve?

The next chapter begins with a conversation.

Some photographs need a little more thought before a date is chosen. Tell me what you have in mind, ask a question, or begin with the story you would like to preserve.
