I had a full day planned for Saturday. Cars & Coffee at the Honda Heritage Center, a Costco run with the wife, then Delaware Cruise Nights in the evening.
I didn’t get to sleep until about 3am the night before, then it was gloomy and rainy in the morning. I decided to skip cars and coffee. Hopefully next month.
Errands were run, and the skies cleared up enough to make it worth giving Delaware Cruise Nights a go. I was only out there briefly last month, only had a film camera, and messed up all the shots. I loaded a Kodak box camera with 120 film and didn’t account for the different frame size. All of my shots were overlapping double and triple exposures. I haven’t bothered to scan the film yet. Maybe there’s something fun on there, but I just don’t really care.
It was nice to get back to cruise nights in full. I brought along my Nikon D850, and an old Ciro Flex TLR that I loaded with Ilford HP5+. That Ciro Flex doesn’t take the best photos, but I love those things. Especially because they were made right here in Delaware, Ohio for a while. Shooting Delaware stuff on a camera made here 70 or so years ago just feels right.
After talking to some folks and taking a few photos in the parking lot, I set up to grab some panning shots of the folks cruising Sandusky St.
A lot of new cars I’ve not seen around. It’s always great when new folks show up. The car culture is surprisingly great for a small Ohio town.
